Somewhere in a school hall in London, shoes are coming off, music is going on, and twenty children who spent the day sitting still are about to do anything but. At Moving Waves, we've been running creative clubs in London schools and nurseries since 2015, and this is why we care so much about it.
Research consistently links quality after-school activities with better confidence, wellbeing and social skills. But for us, the case is simpler than any study: we see it every week. Instead of screens or worksheets, children spend that golden hour moving, making, performing, collaborating, and laughing with peers.
Our clubs are built on three main foundations:

Children learn fastest when they're enjoying themselves. Confidence, teamwork, coordination and self-expression grow naturally out of great sessions.

Our facilitators are experienced industry professionals, fully trained and working in line with each school's safeguarding policies.
It's the same ethos that runs through our three North London dance academies in Harringay (N15), Archway (N19) and Bounds Green (N11). One big performing family, in and out of school.
Our clubs are creative, teacher-led sessions delivered in your school or nursery. Our facilitators are trained, experienced and DBS-checked specialists in their practice.

Dance: Ballet. Street Dance, Contemporary, Jazz and Creative Movement (also available as curriculum-aligned Dance in P.E.)
Drama: storytelling, improvisation and performance skills
Stand-Up Comedy: Confidence-building with a lot of giggles

Arts & Crafts: imagination you can take home

We currently work with schools and nurseries across London, providing:

If Moving Waves already runs clubs at your child's school, registration is done through us each term. Spaces are limited and popular clubs fill quickly, so register early. What ages are Moving Waves after-school clubs for?
Our school clubs cover ages 4–11 (Reception to Year 6), with dedicated creative sessions for nursery children from age 2. Our academy classes run up to age 17.
Are your facilitators DBS-checked and trained?
Yes. All Moving Waves facilitators are experienced professionals, fully vetted, and work in line with each school's safeguarding policies.
